What we offer
UEES applies Unipart thinking before any project takes place. The starting point is always to thoroughly understand a customer's requirements, and then exceed them - whether it's realising a client's own product design or working up a new concept.
We have comprehensive CAD capabilities, with experienced CADD5 and Catia designers. Designs can be computer-based or a physical on-vehicle build, the design facility being supported by a full prototype workshop capability.
We also offer extensive development and testing facilities including: CAE iterations in the form of CFD gas-flow simulation, FEA durability simulation and WAVE acoustic prediction. We can undertake on site vibration, pressure/vacuum and thermal physical testing. While at our German facility, engine dyno, rolling road and anaechoic chamber testing can be carried out.
Product Design & Development
UEES design, develop and test products using some of the latest facilities available.
CAD and CAE are used together to provide optimal designs.
CAD packages include Catia V4/V5 > Cadds 5 > C3P I-Deas
CAE abilities include
- Computational Fluid Dynamics to determine gas-flow simulation
- Finite Element Analysis for durability simulation
- WAVE software to enable acoustic prediction
Confirmation of Product Design is often required through physical testing.

Vibration Testing Facilities Include
- Vibration testing (in house)
> LDS 860 Shaker > 600kg payload > 3 - 2000 Hz
> LDS 721 Shaker > 100kg payload > 10 - 4000 Hz
> Ability to test in 3 axis
> Ability to input Road Load Data into either shaker
> 4 Channel control /monitoring - Pressure/Vacuum and Thermal test facilities for Fuel Tank Testing
> Thermal Chamber is fully programmable with a temperature range from +100 DegC to -40 Deg C. Temperature rate change of 1 deg per min
Exhaust development is supported by the vast technology centre at Eberspacher, Esslingen.
