People & Culture

There is a strong culture of continuous improvement and all our employees are involved in finding better ways of working and solving problems at their own level.

We encourage our employees to share their learning and transfer their knowledge to their work colleagues, so we may learn from each other and further improve other areas of the business.

Our approach of involving and empowering our employees to make a difference gives much greater job satisfaction and our people tend to stay with us for a long time.

In UEES we genuinely believe that our people are our greatest asset and they deserve to be treated with respect and consulted with on matters which affect them.

Our leadership team operate on an open style of management, designed to encourage and coach employees into high levels of performance and customer service and also ensure we maintain a strong focus on continuous improvement. Leaders provide regular feedback to teams and individuals on performance and ensure they are equipped with the skills required to consistently perform to the highest levels.

One of our ways of working is the 'go and see and deeply understand' principle, which is one of the key principles of the Unipart Way. The Unipart Way philosophies and ways of working are very important to the way in which we manage the business and all our leaders are expected to develop high degrees of personal mastery and then coach their teams in these ways.

Safety is of paramount importance to us and we have an active Health and Safety Forum, which again involves employee representatives from across the business. We constantly strive to remove all health and safety risks from our business and our safety statistics are exceptional. We also focus heavily on the environment and again involve our employees in making sure we continuously focus on providing a safe and risk free environment in which to work.
